v1.9 update

We are on the 1.9 pre-release update.  Notch has said 1.10 will be out quickly afterwards.

I have a feeling there's going to be many more changes in the world generation code so we may not be keeping this 1.9 world either.  This is feature familiarity and playing on a vanilla server.  Have fun with it.
